As the owner and writer for this site, Once Upon a Wheat, I started this blog to share our love of travel and new experiences in honoring this precious gift of life, with the hope to help you and inspire you, being a part of your own journey in living out lives that are the best they can be, striving to be our best selves, reach our fullest potential, and to feel & live & love, amazingly. My posts, reviews, and recommendations revolve around the core value of helping others with honesty and authenticity.

As a travel blogger, we may be sponsored or compensated to provide our own opinions, findings, beliefs, experiences on products, topics, locations, websites, services, events, etc… , though we only recommend products we believe in, use, and love. Things we value and enjoy and believe you will, too. When I am reviewing the product, trip, experience, location or activity, I’m also a mom and an honest friend and will tell you the same thing I would tell another friend or family member.

We believe in honesty of relationship, opinion, and identity. The compensation we may receive from marketers may contribute to our content, topics, posts, social channel posts, etc… though our views and our opinions expressed on our blog, forums, or interactions are purely our own. That content, advertising space or post will be clearly identified as paid or sponsored content to you. Any product claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product, service, site, location, etc… should be verified with the manufacturer, provider, or party in question; we include accurate, timely information to the best of our knowledge and ability.

I love being able to help readers make their vacations (and life!) and planning easier and better and more full. Though, if you choose to travel based on something I have discussed or reviewed, please do your own follow-up research, as well. Things may change over time. The conditions, hours, prices, events, circumstances, terms, etc… may no longer be accurate when you decide to travel. I do my very best to update information, but I’m only one person who also happens to be human, so if you find something has changed since my post, please let me know!

As a way to help contribute financially to my family and also to help pay for the significant costs of this site/ business, services, and my offerings that I provide to help me better serve you, you might notice ads or links on my blog. If I include them, it will allow me to receive compensation for showing advertisements on my blog. I will try to monitor them, absolutely, but I am not always in control of which ads may appear. If you see any that you feel are offensive, please let me know. We allow third party companies to serve ads and/or collect cookies- certain information that is anonymous (non personal!), when you visit our Web site. These companies may use non-personally identifiable information (e.g. click stream information, browser type, time and date, subject of advertisements clicked on or scrolled over) during your visits to this and other websites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services likely to be of more interest to you, and also to improve your website browsing experience. These companies typically use a cookie or third party web beacon to collect this data. If you use this site, you are agreeing to accepting these cookies and protocol.

Once Upon a Wheat is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program which provides minimal commission for products linked to amazon.com that you purchase, but, again, only if I’ve used the product and love it! I will not suggest anything to you that I do not believe in, use, and think you will use and love, too!

I will work with various affiliate programs so if you decide to click on one of my recommended links or advertisements, I could earn a small commission (at NO cost to you) if you purchase the item through the link, and your purchase price, offer and experience will NOT be affected in any way, though you may incur a DISCOUNT or SALE price as a result of my partnership, through my specific link provided. I am always honest and truthful in what I recommend. I put a lot of value on others’ recommendations and reviews whenever I buy something, and I value our readers and want you to have the best experience, too! I will not recommend something I don’t honestly believe is beneficial for you. Though my experience is my own, so I cannot be held responsible for any recommendation not fulfilling your expectations or not providing you with the same positive experience. Everyone is different, but I’ll give you my honest, full views on the product/ topic and allow you to choose for yourself if that works well for you, and I always encourage you to do further research to ensure that it’s the product you want for you and your family.

My, goodness, aren’t you glad to be done with that legal stuff?!! Good thing I have a background in Human Resources; this felt like I was writing a policy manual, eek! Now, go look at the fun stuff and see where we’ve been and where you may want to go, too! 🙂
